U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) was recently featured on C-SPAN’s “American History TV” where he discussed South Dakota’s history, politics, and economy. As part of its 2017 Cities Tour, C-SPAN stopped in Sioux Falls, among other South Dakota communities, to feature the history and literary life of the community.
“The center of the country is near and dear to the pulse of the country, and the people out here are as good as they come,” said Thune to CSPAN. “We have a work ethic second to none. We try and create an environment that is welcoming and warm – people are friendly. I am always looking for opportunities to promote South Dakota and make it a place people want to do business. We have a lot to sell, and sometimes that story does not get told.”
