WASHINGTON, D.C. —
Senator John Thune announced today that the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved a $35,990 grant for the Brookings County Housing and Redevelopment Commission.
“These important resources will help the Brookings County Housing and Redevelopment Commission continue to offer quality services and guidance to individuals looking to buy their first homes,” Thune said. “Homeownership is key to financial independence and security.”
This funding will be used to pay the salaries of program coordinators at the Brookings County Housing and Redevelopment Commission. These coordinators provide program participants with the training and support services needed to become homeowners and achieve economic independence and self-sufficiency.
