Senator John Thune announced today that the United States Department of Agriculture has awarded a grant for $666,000 and a loan for $903,000 to upgrade the water supply to Whitewood.
“This is great news for members of the Whitewood community,” said Thune. “Expanding and improving infrastructure in rural areas is vital to growing economies and attracting new businesses.”
The office of Rural Development funding is part of the Water and Waste Loan and Grant Program.
