Ellsworth plays a critical role in the War on Terror every day, and we will continue to advocate its importance to our homeland security mission. When BRAC members visit South Dakota, they will find a community dedicated to saving Ellsworth and winning the War on Terror. It is flat wrong to close a modern installation with great potential for expansion and a proven ability to project this country’s power like Ellsworth. Before any domestic base is closed, we must first resolve the serious issues concerning this BRAC’s timing and complete the Quadrennial Defense Review and Overseas BRAC.”
