Jobs and Economic Growth
The national unemployment rate remains high, and families and small businesses are struggling to make ends meet. The federal government continues to place burdensome regulations on businesses and many companies are hurt by the long-term uncertainty regarding taxes, which makes it difficult to invest in the future or to grow their business.
My position on the Senate Commerce and Finance Committees allow me to work to ensure South Dakota’s small businesses are competing in an environment that encourages them to grow and create new jobs. I will work to ensure that the programs Congress has created to help small businesses are not only successful, but also that they help those that are most in need in a way that is not overly burdensome.
