Senator John Thune announced today a $750,000 Economic Development grant for Rapid City, South Dakota.
The Economic Development Administration, a division of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is awarding $750,000 for the construction of a technology incubator on the campus of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
“This is an important project for Rapid City,” said Thune. “The federal funding will help grow jobs and create new opportunities in Rapid City.”
The funds are being awarded to the Rapid City Economic Development Foundation and the city of Rapid City, SD. Total projected cost of the 60,000 square foot structure is $2,350,000.
