Washington, D.C. —  Senator John Thune today announced a $400,000 Department of Health and Human Services grant for the City of Sioux Falls Health Department.

HHS’s Division of Grants Management Operations will award the $400,000 through the Ryan White Title III Outpatient EIS Program. This grant program will help provide outpatient EIS (early intervention services) with respect to HIV.

“Over 460 cases of AIDS/HIV have been reported in South Dakota since 1985,” said Thune. “This important grant will help Sioux Falls Health Department provide early intervention services and promote health in South Dakota.”
