Washington, DC —  Senator John Thune today announced the Senate Armed Services Committee reported a Defense bill to the full Senate that when passed will authorize $5 million for the Advanced Electronic Rosebud Integration Center.

"This is fantastic news for Rosebud Sioux Tribe Electronic Center and the men and women it employs," Thune said. "The Rosebud Integration Center contributes significantly to our national security and defense by conducting state-of-the-art research in missile defense and space technologies. Funding like this would only serve to strengthen the center and improve its capabilities. I have long advocated for the center with my colleagues on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and I will continue to push for this important funding as it moves through the legislative process."

Authorization by the Senate Armed Services Committee is the first step in the appropriations process. This funding must now be approved by both the Senate and the House before it is finalized.
