Congressionally Directed Spending Requests FY 2022

Project purpose: This project currently delivers water to the states of South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.  Funding under this request would go toward the continued construction of water delivery lines to expand capacity and the number of communities served.

Recipient name – South Dakota Department of Transportation

Project purpose – This project will provide a new interchange on Interstate-29 at 85^th Street, reconstruct and add capacity to one mile of the 85^thStreet Crossroad, and provide an auxiliary lane to Louise Avenue in Sioux Falls, SD. This is a joint project with Lincoln County, the City of Sioux Falls, and the City of Tea to connect a growing population in southern Sioux Falls to the rest of the city. 

Project Location: Intersection of 85^thStreet and Interstate 29, Lincoln County, SD.  

Amount requested: $30,000,000
