Washington, DC —
Senator John Thune announced today that the United States Department of Agriculture has approved a loan for $3,382,000 to RC Technologies Corporation in New Effington to expand broadband access in South Dakota and Minnesota.
"This is great news for RC Technologies and for the areas it serves," said Thune. "Expanding technology infrastructure in rural areas is vital to growing economies and attracting new businesses. Broadband technology will allow RC Technologies Corporation customers to do business all over the world."
The Rural Development Broadband Access loan program was authorized in the 2002 Farm Bill to make loans to improve broadband services to communities with a population of 20,000 or less. This loan will improve service in five counties in South Dakota and one in Minnesota.
