Washington, D.C. —  Senator John Thune met with state and national officers of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) from South Dakota during their recent trip to Washington, DC. The officers presented Senator Thune with information about how FCCLA impacts professional and personal development of students in South Dakota, as well as information about the size of the program and community service projects they participate in. The officers were in DC to participate in a training program held at the national FCCLA headquarters in Reston, Virginia.
