Washington, DC —
Senator John Thune issued the following statement regarding today's announcement by the Farm Service Agency (FSA) regarding proposed office closings:
"Today's announcement is one of the first steps the FSA takes in its streamlining process. Over the coming weeks, I will continue to gather information and input from the FSA as well as from impacted communities, farmers, and ranchers. I intend on sharing with FSA officials the concerns my staff and I have received from South Dakotans across the state. If changes need to be made, they should not come at the expense of farmers and ranchers."
