SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--Senator John Thune today attended the Sioux Empire Fair's Agriculture Appreciation Day in Sioux Falls. Thune joined industry leaders and members of the community in serving complimentary lunch to farmers and ranchers to express gratitude for their contributions to the entire state.

"The Sioux Empire Fair's Agriculture Appreciation Day lunch for our local farmers and ranchers is a fitting tribute to the agricultural producers who feed us 365 days a year," said Thune. "It was an honor to serve these hard working South Dakotans and thank them for their year-round dedication to our state."

Thune serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee and is the ranking member of the Jobs, Rural Economic Growth, and Energy Innovation Subcommittee.
