Washington, D.C. —
Senator John Thune today announced a federal loan of $280,000 for the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department in Sturgis, SD.
The loan was awarded by the USDA Rural Development through their Community Facility Direct Loan program. The funds will be used to assist with the rebuilding of a fire truck.
“These federal funds will allow the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department to improve public safety in Sturgis and the surrounding community,” said Thune. “It is important that we support them along with all of South Dakota’s emergency responders.”
