U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet, will lead a hearing titled, “An Evaluation of FirstNet’s Progress,” at 10:00 a.m. EDT, 9:00 a.m. CDT on Thursday, September 24, 2020. The hearing will feature testimony from Pennington County Captain Tony Harrison and will examine the progress that both FirstNet and AT&T have had regarding the buildout of a nationwide public safety broadband network.
