Washington, D.C —  I was glad to join Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, Interior Secretary Gale Norton, and four Senators to travel to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska this past weekend.

We've got an energy crisis in America today.

The country needs energy legislation that fosters more oil production, plus alternatives like ethanol made from South Dakota corn.

ANWR is an exciting opportunity for Americans to reduce our dependence on foreign sources oil and to strengthen our energy security.

I look forward to being engaged in this debate as we work to pass a national energy policy in the U.S. Senate.
