U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) today issued the following statement regarding the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ announcement that the economy added 250,000 jobs and wages are rising at the highest rate since 2009.

“Once again, the jobs report out today shows the economy is continuing to grow under Republican-led policies and reforms. By reforming the tax code and creating a regulatory environment that fosters job growth and empowers American entrepreneurship, we are helping Americans get back to work. Wages are rising at the highest rate since the Great Recession, and unemployment remains at a 49-year low. Today, Americans are better equipped to find good jobs, provide for their families, and save for the future.”
