Recent Op-Eds

Sunday, September 11th, marks the ten year anniversary of that fateful day when terrorists attacked America on its own soil - the first such attack since the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Much has changed in our country since that fall morning ten years ago, but one thing has remained constant: the resolve of the American people.

Nearly 3,000 men and women were taken from their families and loved ones during the attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and flight 93, which was hijacked and heading toward the nation's Capitol before it was thwarted by brave passengers.

Despite enduring this tremendous loss, the nation has pressed forward with a relentless spirit. Men and women of all walks of life have answered the call of duty and signed up to serve in our armed forces since the 9/11 attacks.

Our freedoms and liberty make America exceptional, and are worth fighting for. As we face great challenges, both here and abroad, let us all remember the sacrifices our military makes each and every day to ensure that America is protected from those who wish us harm.

We will always remember our fellow citizens who were senselessly taken from this earth, as we commit to making our country stronger and safer for our children and grandchildren.

May God bless the families, friends, and loved ones of those we lost on September 11th, ten years ago, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
