Today John Thune announced a federal loan of nearly $100,000 for Community Clinic, Inc. in Eagle Butte, SD.
Community Clinic, Inc., a non-profit medical clinic located in the Cheyenne River Reservation, will receive a Community Facility Direct Loan of $95,000. Funds will be used to assist with the expansion of the existing clinic. The loan is being provided by the United States Department of Agriculture-Rural Development office, which in 2003 awarded the clinic with a grant of $50,000.
“Health clinics like Community Clinic, Inc. are vital to rural South Dakota communities,” Thune said. ”The clinics not only function as suppliers of health care but provide an array of community services. This loan will help improve health care in Eagle Butte.”
